The project is located in the west of Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire. With a total length of 7.49 kilometers, the project includes the construction of a 794.25-meter-long main bridge across Banco Bay, a viaduct with ramps in Boribana, 3 overpasses, 1 toll gate, 1 underpass, and affiliated roads and facilities. Once the 6-lane Abidjan Fourth Bridge is completed, the transport connectivity will be strengthened among Abidjan’s populous communes of Yopougon, Adjamé and Plateau, which will help improve the traffic conditions and ease the traffic pressure in the east-west direction in these areas, and thus Abidjan’s traffic congestion will be effectively reduced.
