The project is an important part of the Thai Government's "Eastern Economic Corridor" plan and the largest project ever undertaken by a Chinese company in Thailand. When the project is completed and put into use, it will ease the passenger flow pressure on suvarnabhumi terminal and promote the development of Thailand's tourism industry.
