This project is located in Pakistan, which starts from Sukkur in Sindh Province in the south and ends at Multan — the economic center of Punjab Province in the north. With a total length of 392 kilometers and a design speed of 120 kh, it is the first two-way  six-lane motorway in Pakistan equipped with intelligent transportation system. The project is funded by the Export-Import Bank of China, with the contract period being 36 months and total contract value being 2.889 billion dollars. Its construction has been completed on July 22, 2019, which is two weeks ahead of schedule, and the whole motorway was opened to traffic in November of the same year. As an "early harvest project" of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, it opens up the north to south transportation artery of Pakistan, greatly improves the country’s transportation, directly drives the social and economic development of the areas along the alignment, and also plays an active role in the interconnection of China and Pakistan.
