Recently, Kenya's IKM project, constructed by CSCEC, successfully passed the World Bank’s 2024 annual inspection. The inspection was conducted with the participation of the National Treasury of Kenya, the Ministry of Roads and Transport of Kenya, Kenya National Highways Authority, Kenya Revenue Authority, supervision consultant EGIS, and representatives from the Isiolo and Meru county governments.

The delegation visited the construction site, quarry, and camps to thoroughly review progress, site facilities, and camp developments.

As the largest ongoing highway infrastructure project in Kenya, the IKM project has made significant progress. To date, 145 kilometers of access roads have been completed, 90 kilometers of roadbed have been completed, 4 kilometers of asphalt surfacing have been laid, approximately 4.2 million cubic meters of earthwork have been completed, 248 culverts have been installed, and backfilling for 45 box culverts has been finalized.
