Recently, a breakthrough ceremony was held for the opening of the Levinsky-Carlebach section of the Light Rail Green Line G3-2 section in Tel Aviv, Israel. More than one hundred people attended the ceremony, including Ms. Mia Likwernik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the project owner Metropolitan Mass Transit System (NTA), Mr. Haim Glick, CEO of the NTA, Mr. Etay Spivak, Chairman of the project supervisor E. Spivak, Mr. Eric Mosseson, the project director, and staff of CSCEC and related heads of design companies.
At the ceremony, Mia Likwernik congratulated the project team on completing the section ahead of schedule, and expressed her appreciation for their hard work.
Located in the center of Tel Aviv city, Israel, the Light Rail Green Line project belongs to one of the three important livelihood projects of the Red Line, the Green Line, and the Purple Line of the Israeli government's urban transportation planning. The total length of the Green Line is 39 km, of which the G3-2 section constructed by CSCEC is the underground part of the Green Line, including 5.7 km shield tunnel construction (double line length), 2 entrances above ground, 1 underground station, and 3 underground station boxes. It is a large-scale subway project undertaken by CSCEC.
