The contract of SIPOPO International Conference Center project was signed in November 2008. The 24m-high project with four floors covers a land area of 120,000 square meters, with a total building area of 30,000 square meters. It is the main venue for the 2011 AU Summit and one of the landmarks in Equatorial Guinea. At present, major domestic conferences and international conferences hosted by Equatorial Guinea are held here. Many conferences and event were held in this venue, such as the AU Summit, AU-South America (ASA) Summit (70 countries), AU-Arab Summit and many international and domestic beauty contests.
