The China-Aid Conference Building project is located in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo (Brazzaville), formerly known as the Congolese (Brazzaville) People's Palace, whcih was a key China-aided projects in foreign countries in the 1980s. It covers an land area of 8.56 hectares and a building area of 33,763 square meters, consisting of the international conference hall, office building and ancillary buildings.Undertaken by CSCEC, it started in 1981 and was completed in 1984. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion was attended by Congo (Brazzaville) President Sassou. Once completed, the project was frequently used and highly praised byby people from all walks of life in the Congo (Brazzaville) as a pearl of Sino-Congo cooperation and friendship.
