The China-Aid project of Sino-Congo Friendship Hospital is located in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo (Brazzaville). It is one of the 30 hospitals under the Eight initiatives to aid Africa announced by the Chinese leader on China-Africa Cooperation Forum 2006. It includes the outpatient building, emergency building, medical technology building, ward building and dormitory building, with a total land area of 33,293 square meters and a building area of 6,300 square meters. It is the only comprehensive hospital equipped with advanced medical equipment in the region, which fills the blankness of non-standardized hospitals in the region and greatly improves the medical and sanitary conditions of local people. On March 30, 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping and the First Lady Peng Liyuan, and Congo (Brazzaville) President Sassou together cut the ribbon for the completion of the project.
