At the end of April, LCR supported local companies in hosting the 72h du Mayombe Ecorun event in the Republic of Congo. The event combined sports with sustainable development principles, aiming to raise awareness about the protection of the Mayombe rainforest and nurture young athletic talent.

The three-day event included an opening ceremony, a tree-planting ecological initiative, and nearly 100 kilometers of long-distance running through the Mayombe Forest. Athletes from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, the Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic participated in the event.

The No.1 National Highway in the Republic of Congo traverses the Mayombe Forest for 150 kilometers. To ensure the safety of road users and participants, LCR implemented numerous measures, including safety guides, a professional escort vehicle fleet, a 1010 emergency hotline, and around-the-clock rescue teams. With LCR's efficient support, the event was a great success without any safety incidents.

The event received extensive media coverage from local mainstream outlets, including TELECONGO, DRTV, RADIO CONGO, VOX TV, and the Brazzaville Express News.
